About Us

About us and why we started Running-Mom.com.

Several years ago I started this site as a way to share what I was learning as I ran toward my goal of running the New York City Marathon. Today this site has become a home for my ideas and passions. Running is a way of life for me, there is not a day where I am not running or thinking about running and with the running-mom.com site I can share everything about my passion with all of our readers in the hopes of helping them with their running passion.

A couple years I go I belonged to (and am still with) an on-line group of running moms. This group inspired me and is still inspiring me to do amazing things with my running. But I digress, the group decided to do a big meet up and run the Disney Princess half marathon. Of course I signed up and could not wait to get there. I ended up running the race with a running mom friend that I already met, Jill, and a new friend, Tracey. During the 13.1 miles we talked a lot and I learned that Tracey loved web design as much as running. So I asked if she would like to partner in on this site.

Lucky for me, Tracey's answer was yes and we have been a fantastic team ever since. Running-mom.com has become a passion for both of us and we talk almost every week and share our ideas about new things to add to the site. Tracey is also a talented and creative graphic designer who designed the site appearance as well as these running mom t-shirts which I love!

We both are at different places right now with our running, I am currently training for another Marathon where I hope to PR and Tracey is just getting back to running after an injury and having another baby. But no matter the amount of running we do, we both have a huge passion for running and love to share our passion with our readers.
